Authorities identify 23-year-old killed in shooting outside New Hampshire home

BARTLETT, N.H. — Authorities in New Hampshire identify the victim killed in an early morning shooting outside of a home in Bartlett.

Officers responded to 25 Nordic Wilderness Road off of Route 16 around 1 a.m. and located 23-year-old Samuel Lozado who was suffering from what appeared to be several gunshot wounds, according to officials. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police then received a second 911 call to assist a second gunshot victim, a 24-year-old man, about a mile and a half away who was also suffering from a gunshot wound.

The second victim was transported to an out-of-state hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, said officials.

“Investigators currently believe that both men knew each other, that these shootings are related to one another, and that there is no known threat to the members of the public,” according to Attorney General John Formella.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning. No further information is anticipated until after the autopsy is complete.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in the investigation.
