An apparent water main break flooded Boston’s Boylston Street Friday afternoon.
Ankle-deep water cascaded down the contest street around 1:45 p.m.
Cars traversed through the water slowly.
Shoppers told Boston 25 they were navigating stores when the water came gushing down and workers had to place pallets of wood down to help them across.
“It’s like an obstacle course,” said one shopper.
Two entrances to the Arlington MBTA station also appeared to be temporarily closed because of a construction project.
