Abington man taken to hospital after being struck by a train

ABINGTON, Mass. — Abington first responders treated and transported a man after he was struck by a train on Friday afternoon.

Reportedly, the incident occurred at approximately 4:00 P.M. when a 63-year-old man was seen to be walking along the train tracks on Adams Street.

The man was walking away from a designated crossing section, when he was eventually struck by the train.

Abington Police and Fire Department treated the man on scene and transported him to a local hospital.
