5 people shot at Franklin Park, Boston police say

BOSTON — Five people were shot at Franklin Park on Sunday night, police say.

Boston police officers responded to the reported shooting at 8:43 p.m., a department spokesperson said.

The shooting happened on the outskirts of where the Dominican Festival was taking place.

Officers said three men and two women, all young adults, were wounded.

All five people shot have non-life-threatening injuries, according to Boston Police.

Boston police commissioner Michael Cox urged members of the public to come forward to officers and help them find the people responsible.

“If anyone has video footage please reach out,” Cox said in a press conference.

No arrests have been made at this time.
