SOUTH YARMOUTH — 4 residents have died after a COVID-19 outbreak at a Cape Cod nursing home.
Windsor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Yarmouth has been receiving help from a state-supported Rapid Response Team after a COVID-19 outbreak.
According to the Department of Public Health, 74 recent residents and 19 staff members received positive COVID-19 tests and four residents have died.
The Rapid Response Team consists of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants helping the nursing home after the outbreak.
The team will provide clinical care to residents and perform hand hygiene and personal protective equipment audits.
The Department issued an admissions freeze notice to Windsor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, February 28 in response to the COVID-19 outbreak
