BOSTON — Boston Police officers used the lifesaving measure of applying tourniquets to two of four gunshot victims in Dorchester on Saturday, police said.
The brazen daytime shootings that injured four men occurred in the area of Cameron Street.
Police said all of the victims suffered injuries that were later deemed non-life-threatening.
Boston Police praised the officers for moving quickly to administer first aid to the victims when they got on scene.
Police say using the tourniquets--which are used in emergencies to apply pressure to a limb or extremity in order to limit, but not stop, the flow of blood--helped save the lives of the victims who were assisted.
