$38.1 million estate becomes most expensive home ever sold in Massachusetts

NANTUCKET, Mass. — A gigantic estate with stunning views of the water recently became the most expensive home ever sold in Massachusetts.

A house in Nantucket’s Monomoy neighborhood, listed in May for $48 million, sold to Evan and Cynthia Jones for $38,127,000 on June 30.

The estate, nicknamed “Beam Ends,” covers a total of 15,332 square feet, and boasts eight bedrooms, seven full baths, and four half-baths scattered across a main home and two guest houses.

It sits right on the Nantucket Harbor coastline on almost four acres of land.

In addition to a view of sailboats and sea life, the home comes with a private path straight to the beach and water.

According to the listing, the home sold for about $2,487 per square foot.
