On 2nd anniversary, vigil planned for Brittany Tee in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, Mass. — Two years after 35-year-old Brittany Tee disappeared from Brookfield, her family is planning to hold a vigil on the anniversary.

“(We’re) wondering where she is. Is she OK? Is she with someone keeping her and did something terrible happen? We just really have no answers,” said Susan Tee, Brittany’s mother.

“When the one year came, I couldn’t believe that. I was hoping, in my head, not another year. Unfortunately, it’s been another year,” said Brittany’s sister, Bethany Tee.

Brittany Tee’s family last saw her on Monday, January 9, 2023, when she visited her mother, Susan’s house.

The next night, Susan spoke to Brittany for the last time.

“I spoke with her 8 o’clock on Tuesday night, and she seemed upset, something was bothering her. But she didn’t want to talk about it,” Susan Tee said.

At the time, Brittany was staying at a house near Lewis Field on Main Street in Brookfield.

The next day, Wednesday, Susan drove by the house and saw Brittany’s car, but Brittany didn’t respond to calls or texts.

On Thursday she called the police.

Woods and the nearby river were searched.

“Has anything turned up to give us any clue what happened to Brittany?” Boston 25 News Reporter Bob Ward asked.

“No, that’s the problem,” Sue Tee said.

“It’s like she’s vanished into thin air,” Bethany Tee added.

Now, two years later, Brittany Tee’s mother and sister are preparing to hold another vigil on Brookfield Common.

“I’m hoping this 2025 will bring us answers and bring her home,” Bethany Tee said.

“Please keep an eye out,” Susan Tee added. “And still listen for any possible leads that we’re not aware. Please be brave enough to call the tip lines. Bring her home”

The Worcester County DA’s office said Brittany’s case remains an open investigation.
