FOXBORO, Mass. — NFL fans are remembering a milestone in the history of the New England Patriots and its dynasty.
It was 20 years ago today, when the Patriots played the Raiders, in a snow bowl matchup often referred to as as ‘The Tuck Rule Game.”
The resulting win, leading to an incredible run of postseason victories and Super Bowls for former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and the Patriots.
The final ruling on the field of an incomplete pass, and not a fumble led to an eventual overtime victory for the Patriots against the Raiders.
The Patriots then went on to win Super Bowl XXXVI over the Rams.
ESPN is planning for a “30 for 30″ on that incredible snow bowl game, featuring Charles Woodson and Tom Brady.
