CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Two male victims are now in the hospital after two separate shootings in Cambridge’s Port neighborhood in less than 12 hours.

Police were alerted to the first shooting at approximately 11:18 p.m. Thursday after receiving alerts of shots fired in the area of Washington Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old Everett male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, which police treated on-scene before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital.

While still on scene, police found eight shell casings and two vehicles parked nearby, damaged as a result of the shooting.

The second shooting happened Friday at 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Windsor Street, police say. On scene, officers found a 16-year-old Cambridge man suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. That teen is now receiving treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
