2 Massachusetts residents win $1M scratch ticket prizes

BOSTON — Two Massachusetts residents have reason to celebrate after they recently won $1 million scratch ticket prizes.

Wayne Doyle, of Palmer, opted to receive his “50X The Money” instant ticket game prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission.

He purchased his winning ticket at S & S Food Mart at 1520 North Main Street in Palmer. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

Robert Mathews, of Blackstone, chose the cash option on his “$4,000,000 Brilliant Titanium” instant ticket game prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000, Lottery officials said.

Mathews says he plans to invest his winnings.

He purchased his winning ticket at Raynham Park at 1958 Broadway in Raynham. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
