HINGHAM, Mass. — Two workers at the Whole Foods in Hingham have tested positive for coronavirus, a company spokesperson confirmed to Boston 25 News.
“The safety of our Team Members and customers is our top priority and we are diligently following all guidance from local health and food safety authorities,” the spokesperson added. “We’ve been working closely with our store Team Members, and are supporting the Team Members who are in quarantine.”
The spokesperson said the store performed and additional cleaning and disinfection out of an abundance of caution.
Whole Foods has taken a number of steps to help curb the spread of coronavirus at all of its stores, including implementing enhanced daily cleaning protocols and utilizing social distancing guidelines to ensure the interaction between workers and customers can happen at a safe distance.
Whole Foods is also closing all stores up to two hours early to give workers time to restock shelves, sanitize stores and rest in preparation for the next day.
