BROCKTON, Mass. — An 18-year-old man is slated to face a judge on Monday in connection with a fatal stabbing in Brockton over the weekend.
Jayden Fernandez will be arraigned on a charge of murder in the death of 19-year-old Kyre Ambrose, according to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.
Officers responding to a 911 call from a resident on Foster Street just before 2 a.m. on Saturday found Ambrose suffering from multiple stab wounds, Cruz’s office said.
Ambrose was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities said Fernandez was arrested after investigators canvassed the area and reviewed surveillance video.
Fernandez was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital to be treated for a hand injury after he was taken into custody.
There were no additional details immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
