BOSTON — A 15-year-old West Roxbury boy was ordered held without bail and two others are being sought in connection with a home invasion and armed robbery involving a gun, knives and the theft of high-end clothing and shoes, the district attorney said.
The boy, a West Roxbury teen who was not identified because he is a juvenile, was held pending a dangerousness hearing on Jan. 10 after he was charged in Dorchester Juvenile Court, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden said.
Prosecutors also asked the judge to revoke the boy’s bail on two open cases. The judge did not rule on that request pending the dangerousness hearing.
Prosecutors allege that in November, the boy and two other males brandished weapons and stole an iPhone and numerous clothing items from a male victim, including the $300 Spyder pants the victim was wearing.
Police are still searching for two other males involved in the incident, Hayden said.
At about 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, the three males entered a home on Weld Street in West Roxbury, Hayden said.
The victim, who heard the males coming into the home, ran to a second-floor bedroom. The males followed the victim to the bedroom, and one of them pulled out a black handgun and the other two pulled out knives, Hayden said.
The male with the handgun allegedly told the victim, “Give me all your stuff or I’m gonna shoot you and the dog,” Hayden said. The victim’s dog was in a crate in the living room.
The three males stripped the victim of his Spyder pants, then stole his iPhone 13 and other items including Atlanta Dunks sneakers valued at $200, Lavins sneakers valued at $600, Alexander McQueen sneakers valued at $500, Balenciaga shoes valued at $1,000, and Jordan sneakers valued at $120, Hayden said.
Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the area around the Weld Street home and witnesses described the three males to police.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for the 15-year-old boy after learning his identity.
“I think anyone pondering this scenario can instantly understand the fear this victim must have felt as he endured this harrowing experience,” Hayden said. “I’m thankful that neither the victim or his dog were injured in this incident and I’m grateful for the diligent work of Boston police detectives to identify the juvenile defendant.”
