1 dead in single-car crash on I-93 in Methuen

METHUEN, Mass. — One person is dead after an early-morning crash in Methuen Wednesday.

State police said the crash happened on Interstate 93 north just before 2 a.m. on the Exit 47 off-ramp to Pelham Street. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials have not released the driver’s name.

State police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
