Victim identified in violent crash on Route 1A in East Boston

BOSTON — The victim of a crash on Route 1A in East Boston has been identified as 18-year-old Jonathan Hernandez, authorities say.

The crash happened Wednesday night on Route 1A at Addison Street, just north of Logan International Airport.

Boston police said Thursday morning that a 16-year-old girl had also suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

No details about the circumstances of the crash have been released.
