BROCKTON, Mass. — One person is in custody and officials are searching for two more suspects who were in a car that allegedly sped through traffic Friday before crashing in Brockton.
Massachusetts State Police say they first began uprising a vehicle that failed to stop for police on Route 24 South near exit 35. The car was seen traveling at more than 100 miles per hour in “moderate traffic,” according to MSP.
The vehicle got off the highway at Exit 33, where police stopped the chase.
After taking the exit, the vehicle struck another car and crashed at the first intersection at North Pearl Street.
Three men then exited the vehicle and ran from the scene of the crash.
After a short foot chase, State Police caught one of the men and placed him into custody. Police are still searching for the other two people in the car.
State Police personnel from Troops H and D, the Air Wing, K9 Unit, and Gang Unit have been deployed to assist with the ongoing search.
