Local first responders jump into action while on vacation

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, Mass. — Even while away on vacation, firefighters are always prepared and willing to help those in need.

While recently vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard, Medford firefighters Eddie Buckley and James Flynn and Chelsea Deputy Fire Chief Michael Masucci provided medical aid to a woman they saw get hit by a car while riding her bicycle.

The woman is expected to make a full recovery.
