BOSTON - Dedicated Red Sox fans will do anything to see their team play, especially if they've made it to the World Series.

On the eve of the kick-off game, not only were fans lined up on Lansdowne Street willing to dish out hundreds or even thousands of dollars for tickets but were also willing to stand in the cold until they got what they came for.

"I'm first in line to get tickets for the World Series, I'm very excited!" said Danielle Lawrence-Taylor.

Bundled up in ski gear, Lawrence-Taylor might be the mom of the year.

"We had tried to get tickets for the World Series 2013 Game 7, and unfortunately we missed out by nine spots so I promised my son that we wouldn’t miss out this time," said Lawrence-Taylor.

But Lawrence-Taylor wasn't the only one with Red Sox fever ahead of what many are expecting to be an amazing series.

Brian Sikorski, who now lives in Florida, showed up for the Sox after he heard they made it to the World Series.

"I’ve been a life-long Red Sox fan by blood of course, and I said, 'It’s time to go to Fenway for the first time in my life, and what better pick than Game 1 of the World Series," said Sikorski.

He says he's confident the Sox will take the series as sure as the Dodgers fans believe in their team.

Christine McCarthy: "Are you sure you want to be here for this one tomorrow? You might be upset."
Joe Cardona, Dodgers fan: "Yes, because we'll take Game 1, so I want to be there."

Little 8-year-old Dylan is a die-hard Red Sox fan and has some strong feelings about the Dodgers.

"I think they suck," said Dylan.

His dad, also a Red Sox fan, says he's okay with that.

"Boston born and raised, that's okay," said Dylan's father.

In a game where anything could happen, the predictions are split pretty evenly, where Sox fans are convinced their team will have a home game advantage and beat their opponents. Dodgers fans, on the other hand, are certain Game 1 is in the bag for them.

"Win for the first day," said Cole Cardona, a Dodgers fan.

"We're gonna take it, it's a beautiful thing," said Sikorski.

Lawrence-Taylor expects her voucher around noon tomorrow. Then, the tickets will be released a few hours after that. She says she's been at Fenway since 4:30 p.m., so it's likely she'll have to stand in the cold for 24 hours before she has her tickets in hand.
