BOSTON — The Federal Aviation Administration says a laser was pointed at a flight approaching Boston's Logan Airport Wednesday as it was preparing to land
The FAA said a Southwest Airlines pilot reported that a green laser illuminated the right side of the plane as it was descending into Logan, about 16 miles northwest of the airport.
The plane was at an altitude of 16,000 feet when it was struck by the laser, the FAA said.
No issues were reported due to the laser strike but the FAA said it has notified local law enforcement and will investigate.
This is the second report of lasers aimed at commercial planes near Logan in the past two weeks. Two commercial flights reported seeing green lasers on Nov. 14.
