Kenny Chesney holds record for performances at Gillette Stadium

FOXBORO, Mass. — Kenny Chesney has performed at Gillette Stadium more times than any other artist. Friday and Saturday will be his 18th and 19th shows in Foxboro.

Chesney’s first show at Gillette was in 2005. According to country music television, Chesney performed in front of the largest gathering of country music fans in New England.

Over the next 12 summers, he performed 16 additional shows.

The country music star has now sold more than one-million tickets at Gillette.

“Since we started stadium shows back in 2005, the fans at Gillette Stadium have always rocked our world,” Chesney said. “The energy and passion of those people in New England, there’s nothing like it.”

The shows on Friday and Saturday will start at 5 p.m. The parking lots open at 1 p.m. and gates at 4 p.m. Special guests include Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne and Brandon Lay.

“Some of my best nights have been onstage at Gillette,” Chesney said. “I’m truly humbled and can’t wait to celebrate with my New England family this weekend.”

These shows wrap up Chesney’s 2018 Trip Around the Sun Tour, which kicked off on April 21 in Tampa Bay.
