JetBlue announces major expansion in Boston and trips across the pond

BOSTON — JetBlue has plans for a major expansion in Boston, including more service across the pond.

On Wednesday, airline officials announced plans to make Logan Aiport a larger hub of operations than New York's John F. Kennedy Airport.

They also revealed plans to debut the brand-new airbus A-220 plane in Boston instead of New York.

According to numerous sources, the company sent out a "save the date invitation" to employees previewing the new plans. The invitation included a picture of London's Big Ben tower.

Sources say JetBlue is expected to announce flights to London as well as several other European destinations from its New York and Boston hubs.
