IMAGES: Ten most dangerous toys for children, according to W.A.T.C.H.

(MyFoxBoston.com) An organization aimed at informing the public about the dangers present in children's products released their nominees for the ten most dangerous toy of 2014.

The World Against Toys Causing Harm (W.A.T.C.H.) released the list on Wednesday morning, just in time for the holiday season shopping rush.

1. "Air Storm Firetek Bow" from Zing: The W.A.T.C.H. organization says the toy may cause eye injuries. The bow and arrow set claims to be designed for kids eight and up and is sold at Walmart and Amazon.com.

2. "Radio Flyer Ziggle" from Radio Flyer, Inc.: The four-wheeled cycle that "serves and spins" can potentially cause forehead and other impact injuries, according to W.A.T.C.H. The toy is designed for children three to eight years old and is sold at Target, Toys R Us, and Amazon.com.

3. "Catapencil" from Toysmith: The pencil-turned-catapult toy as the potential for eye injuries, according to W.A.T.C.H. "Sharpened pencils should not be marketed as playthings, much less a miniature slingshot-style launcher," the organization said in a press release. The pencil has no age recommendations and is sold at Amazon.com, Ebay.com, and Learning Express.

4. "Alphabet Zoo Rock & Stack Pull Toy" from Skin Hop: W.A.T.C.H. says this playpen and crib toy has the potential for strangulation and entanglement injuries. The toy has a cord measuring 20 inches and is designed for children over 18 months. It can be purchased at Amazon.com, Toys R Us, and Magic Beans.

5. "Swat Electric Machine Gun" from Junxing Toys Industrial Co., LTD, Toy 2U: The realistic toy weapon is being flagged by W.A.T.C.H. for its similarities to a real machine gun. The toy is designed for ages five and up and can be purchased at Kmart.

6. "Wooden Instruments" from Walmart Stores, Inc.: The multicolored instrument set for babies has the potential for ingestion and choking injuries, according to W.A.T.C.H. The set is marketed for children 12 months and up and can be purchased at Walmart.

7. "Bottle Rocket Party" from Norman & Globus, Inc.: The organization claims the bottle rocket set to have the potential for eye, face, and other impact injuries. The set comes with no safety goggles and is marketed for children eight years and older. It can be purchased at Walmart.com, Amazon.com, and Village Toy Shop.

8. "Lil' Cutesies -- Best Friends" from JC Toys Group: The doll has the potential for choking injuries due to a detachable bow, W.A.T.C.H. claims. The doll is marketed for children ages two and up and can be bought at Kmart, Toysrus.com, and Amazon.com.

9. "True Legends Orc Battle Hammer" from Toys R Us: The hard plastic hammer have the potential for blunt impact injuries, W.A.T.C.H. says. The two-foot hammer is designed for children three and up and is sold at Toys R Us.

10. "Colored Hedgehog" from Toys R Us: The soft, colorful hedgehog for infants has long, fiber-like hair that is easily removable and poses ingestion or aspiration injuries, W.A.T.C.H. claims. The stuffed toy and is market for infants of all ages and is sold at Toys R Us.
