IMAGES: Massive fire burns through Jamaica Plain home

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A massive three-alarm fire burned through a 2 1/2 story home early Sunday morning.

Fire officials first responded to the flames just before 5:15 a.m. at a home on Porter Street in Jamaica Plain. Heavy fire and smoke spread throughout the second floor. The fire was so intense that crews were forced out of the building.

No injuries were reported. One person was displaced. A cat was rescued from the flames and reunited with its owner.

The fire chief estimated the damage at $700,000.
