Hull School Committee places schools superintendent on leave amid allegations of personal misconduct

HULL, Mass. — The schools superintendent has been placed on administrative leave until further notice amid allegations of personal misconduct, the Hull School Committee announced Wednesday.

Superintendent Michael Devine is at the center of an independent outside investigation and police have been notified, school officials said earlier this week.

Officials would not release further information on the alleged misconduct, saying the situation is a personnel matter.

The School Committee made the decision to place Devine on leave while meeting in executive session on Wednesday evening.

Assistant Superintendent Judith Kuehn assumed the role of acting superintendent on Monday.
