According to fire officials, the fire started early in the morning, but was contained to a single room and knocked down quickly.
Classes were canceled only at the high school due to smoke contamination, which fire officials say could cause classes to be canceled next week as well.
Power to the school was also shut down due to the fire.
As of 6:30 a.m., firefighters were still on scene working to put out the smoke.

Hingham Police say no one was hurt in the fire.
School officials say AP exams have been canceled for the day and the impacted students will be contacted individually about it.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
