Gilbert is one of about 40 students at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School that is part of a fundraiser started by four of his classmates called Coupons For Covid.

The students donate their talents by providing a wide variety of goods and services.

“For most people, it’s not whether or not they want to help, it’s oh my god what can I actually do to help the community?,” said Jishnu Ghosh, a junior at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

Some of the goods and services include baking desserts, tutoring, and babysitting among other things.

“We have some really weird ones like there’s one friend of mine he works at a stable so he offered to do stable work for us,” said Joel George, a senior at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

His classmate, senior Rhea Karty added, “We ask the providers of the product to tell us how much they think their product is worth, perhaps for a little mark up for charity, then we put that on our website and we ask people to donate that amount.”

“We’ve been able to have students at our school and others provide things they are very passionate about so they are able to keep doing what they love during a time they may be stuck at home and especially help people who may not have a home,” said Davin Martin, a senior at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

So far, the students at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School have raised more than 2-thousand dollars for the Pine Street Inn.
