Here are the Mass. towns where you are most likely to get a speeding ticket

DEDHAM, Mass. — Massachusetts drivers have a bad reputation.

The reputation is bad enough to earn that certain nickname we’re not going to repeat here.

And when it comes to having lead feet, let’s just say drivers are keeping State Police busy.

Boston 25 News examined a year’s worth of speeding ticket information from MSP—more than 120,000 tickets—issued between May 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018.

We were able to determine WHERE and WHEN troopers handed out the most tickets in those 12 months.

According to the data, the most speeding citations were issued in the month of May (14,644) with an average of 472 tickets a day, followed by June (12,729/424 per day), October (11,880/383 per day) and November (11,824/394 per day).

The fewest tickets were handed out in April (7,410/247 per day) and December (7,916/per day). 
Of course, no one would have to worry about any of this if they just slowed down, a sentiment Boylston driver Pauline Young summed up nicely.

“Just go the speed limit. It’s not worth being stopped and getting a ticket. [You face] higher insurance premiums and it’s dangerous,” Young said.
