BOSTON — On Tuesday on Boston 25 News at 4 Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh spoke with MA Congresswoman Katherine Clark to discuss the Child Care is Essential Act, legislation to stabilize the childcare sector that Clark says is struggling to survive as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clark says the immediate $50 billion in short term investment would be used to sustain the viability of providers that have been forced to close due to COVID-19 and ensure their businesses able to serve families when America is ready to reopen.

25 Investigates reported Monday that Massachusetts childcare centers can reopen during Phase 2, so as early as Monday, provided they meet new strict health and safety criteria.
