More than one million vaccine doses administered in Massachusetts

Expert: Supply chain key to remedy federal vaccine rollout woes

BOSTON — More than one million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the state of Massachusetts, the Baker-Polito Administration says.

According to a release from the Office of Health and Human Services, 1,034,018 doses have been administered across the state as of Thursday night.

Over 20,000 vaccine appointments are available at the state’s mass vaccination sites in Danvers, Springfield, Foxboro, and Boston.

Beginning Saturday, the Massachusetts Vaccine Scheduling Resource line will extend its hours of operation to include weekends and weekday evenings.

The new call center hours of operation will be:

  • Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The line is available in English and Spanish and translators are available to support residents who speak additional languages.
