BOSTON — Are you wondering when is the best time to bring your kids out trick or treating on Halloween in your town?
While some neighborhoods do not have set time requirements for when residents can trick or treat, many towns across Massachusetts and New Hampshire designate specific trick or treat times.

The American Academy of Pediatrics offers a few tips on Halloween safety.
• Wear outfits that are bright and reflective and consider wearing reflective tape for greater visibility
• A parent should accompany children around the neighborhood
• Bring flashlights and extra fresh batteries
• Only approach homes with porch lights on and do not enter homes or cars
• Stay on well-lit streets and use the sidewalk
• Make sure your kids stay in a group and do not trick or treat alone
