EVERETT, Mass. — A Foxborough truck driver was arrested after being involved in two separate drugged driving incidents on Monday.
Shortly after 8:00 a.m., a patrolman responded to a report of an unresponsive truck driver slumped over the wheel on Ashland and Beacham streets in Everett.
According to the patrolman, the driver was operating a gasoline tanker truck. The officer removed the key from the ignition, and the driver remained unresponsive.
An officer with the Everett Police Department Commercial Truck Traffic Enforcement Unit placed the driver out of service before he was transported to the CHA Everett for treatment of a possible narcotic overdose.
A complaint was filed against the driver for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.

POLICE ARREST DRUGGED DRIVER.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
EVERETT, MA. – Everett Chief of Police Steven A. Mazzie announced the arrest of a Foxborough truck driver who was involved in 2 separate... https://t.co/sDw4l0GtcA
About six hours later, at around 2:25 p.m., the same officers who responded to the first call for an unresponsive truck driver responded to a call on 67 Beacham Street for a report of a head-on collision.
At the scene, both officers found the same truck driver, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.
The police report for the crash says the driver was high again and that he "inhaled his drugs sometime in the last 2 to 4 hours," or after he was discharged from the hospital.
This time, the driver was allegedly driving a Chevy Monte Carlo and drifted over the line into oncoming traffic, causing the collision.
Kenneth Davis, 50, of Foxborough, was arrested with incident and charged with a second offense OUI.
A Revere Police drug recognition expert confirmed on the scene the driver was in fact under the influence of an illicit substance. An immediate threat notice was reported to the RMV.
“I’m glad we were able to respond and prevent this individual that was operating a truck with dangerous cargo from causing more serious harm," said Everett Police Chief Steven Mazzie. "Impaired drivers are a real concern to all of us and we encourage the public to report anyone they believe is impaired and is operating a vehicle.”
Davis was arraigned in Malden District Court on Tuesday on OUI charges.
A man who answered the door at the address listed for "South Shore Hauling" would only say that Kenneth Davis is no longer driving for the Quincy-based trucking company.
When Boston 25 News knocked on Davis' door at his Foxborough home, we were told no comment and were asked to leave.
