BOSTON — Friday is the last day to vote early in Massachusetts for the state’s primary election, which will be held on September 1.
Registered voters who want to cast their primary ballots during the early voting period, which began on Aug. 22, should visit the early voting location in their town before they close on Friday, Aug. 28. Many towns have limited hours Friday, so voters are advised to check the closing time at MassEarlyVote.com.

Mass. residents can check the locations and times for early voting in their town or city by visiting the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website.
“When early voting in person at an early voting location for your municipality, the election officials will check you in, similar to the process used on Election Day,” reads the Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin’s website. “After voting, you will enclose your ballot into an envelope to be counted on Election Day.”
The state has a full list of election tools for voters on its Election Page.
