FOX25 welcomes Chris Flanagan as weekend anchor

BOSTON — FOX25 is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Flanagan to the news team.

Chris will be joining FOX25 as a weekend evening co-anchor and reporter.

Chris comes to FOX25 from Cleveland, where he has been anchoring and reporting at WEWS for the last five years.  Before that, he was a morning anchor at WFAA in Dallas.  He has also worked in San Francisco, Indianapolis, Des Moines, Hartford and Vermont.

Chris has covered a number of big stories in his career, including the 2012 DNC, Iowa Caucuses, Ft. Hood Shooting, 2002 Winter Olympics, Super Bowl 45 in Dallas, and, most recently, the Cavaliers' NBA title.

The move to FOX25 and Boston brings Chris full circle back to New England.  He and his wife are both from Connecticut and have previously lived in New Hampshire and Vermont.

He and his wife have three children, who have already asked their dad when they will be making their first trip to Fenway.

Chris' first day at FOX25 is in September.
