HOLLIS, N.H. — A family in Hollis, New Hampshire has been the target of multiple attacks and extortion attempts over the past year, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
A $10,000 reward is being offered to find the people responsible for burning the family's car, harassing them and abusing animals on their farm.
The family runs the Rickety Ranch and tells investigators the person has been trying to collect $250,000 from them in exchange for keeping the family from harm and settling their ongoing disputes with the town of Hollis.
“The vicious shakedown of this family and the use of violence to intimidate them will not be tolerated. We’re asking anyone with information about who is terrorizing them to come forward and share that information with us so we can put a stop to it, and bring whoever is responsible to justice,” said Harold H. Shaw, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division which covers all of New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
