FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 22-year-old Fall River man is accused of assaulting a pregnant woman in an attempted robbery.
Brandon Dunham was arrested Monday on charges of assault to rob, armed and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Investigators say Dunham was arrested after an extensive investigation.
Fall River police released photos of the alleged attacker last week. They say the victim left a Bank of America ATM on North Main Street just before 4 p.m. on March 10 when the assault occurred. She was walking along Durfee Street when a man, allegedly Dunham, approached and demanded money.
The 22-year-old woman was able to push off her attacker, but she was then sprayed with what is believed to be pepper spray. The suspect was unable to take any money from the victim, who was later transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital to be treated.
The victim told police she saw the suspect when she was inside the ATM.
