EXETER, NH — An Exeter Area High School counselor is accused of raping a student.
An investigation into Kristie Torbick's relationship with the student started at the end of January and on Friday she turned herself in to police on the charge of aggravated felonious sexual assault.
The 37-year-old from Lee was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and is ordered not to contact the victim, any known or potential witnesses, anyone under the age of 18 beside her children, and that she not be on any school district property.
Torbick was placed on leave from the school Jan. 26, according to the school district.
