BOSTON — It's official! The Boston Red Sox World Series victory parade is ready to roll.
And Red Sox Nation will be celebrating on Halloween Day as duck boats carry the team through the city. Boston Police think fans will be festively dressed for both occasions and there are some ground rules to keep in mind for those planning on attending.

Mayor Marty Walsh and the city's top officials have laid out some of the safety measures for the Championship parade.
Of the many things to look forward to, the duck boats undoubtedly will be the star of the show. About 25 duck boats carrying the World Series Champions will leave Fenway Park at 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning and make their way into Downtown Boston.

Wednesday's parade will mark the city's 11th sports championship since 2002.
"[We want] to make sure everyone knows we have coverage in our districts where people live," Mayor Walsh said.
Getting in and out of the city
In anticipation of the large crowds, MBTA will be providing additional capacity to help people get to and from the city for the parade. In a press release, Keoilis Commuter Services said their teams will have extra trains on Wednesday and about 200 Keolis and rail personnel will be at key stations to assist with boarding and schedule information.
Bikes will not be allowed on any commuter rails on Wednesday and passengers are asked to leave large items such as strollers and coolers at home.
City officials are asking the public to make sure to check posted street signs before parking near the parade route. Streets where parking is restricted will have posted signs that say, "No Stopping Boston Police Special Event." Boston.gov has more information on parking if need be.
And if you want to park at an MBTA parking lot, consider one of the lots that have the most capacity on weekdays.
