MILLBURY, Mass. — A tractor-trailer rolled over on I-90 eastbound on Saturday morning near Exit 10A on the Mass. Pike, causing delays and a lane closure.
The right lane of I-90 East has been closed because of the crash, with Mass. State Police announcing at 3:44 p.m. that the lane will remain closed while crews are on scene cleaning up debris and repairing the guardrail.
Exit 10A was closed after the crash, but has since been reopened.
At 1:31 p.m., the Mass. Department of Transportation estimated that traffic was backed up for 12 miles approaching the scene, according to a tweet from the MassDOT Communications Director.
The incident occurred at 7:30 a.m., according to Millbury Fire. The driver of the tractor-trailer became trapped inside the cab of the vehicle after it rolled down an embankment.

Emergency personnel were able to free the man - identified as a 51-year-old New York man - after nearly three hours of work by both the Millbury and Auburn Fire Departments. The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital.
The Mass. Department of Environmental Protection responded to the scene as well due to fuel spillage.
The crash remains under investigation.
