Door problems appear to be latest issue causing MBTA delays

BOSTON — Door problems appear to be the latest thing preventing MBTA subway riders getting to and from their destinations on time.

On Wednesday morning, Eric Sanford posted on Twitter a Red Line train car at the Quincy Adams stop, "just had trouble opening the doors and almost left passengers behind."

Less than 24 hours earlier, Caitlin posted on Twitter, "Stuck in an #OrangeLine train that pulled into Back Bay with door problems. That's what we get for using orange line cars THAT ARE OLDER THAN ME!"

Boston 25 News scanned the MBTA's Twitter feed and found at least nine instances of door problems causing delays on Blue, Red and Orange Line trains. The delays were up to 15 minutes long and didn't discriminate against a particular commute.
