A police officer in Atlanta allegedly used his uniform and patrol car to gain access to restricted areas of the Super Bowl in an attempt to meet Patriots players, documents say.
Documents say DeKalb County Police Captain C.A. Williams used his department-issued uniform and drove himself and his fiance in his squad car to the Hyatt Regency hotel in Atlanta, where the team was staying before Super Bowl LIII.

Williams was allegedly not assigned to any of the Super Bowl details, and documents say he didn't have the credentials needed to access any restricted areas.
The captain allegedly took pictures and videos on his personal phone in the areas, and documents say he took a picture of Tom Brady's car in the hotel's garage, along with the quarterback's name on a sign next to it.
In the documents, the officer said he was "never asked to leave by anyone to include any law enforcement officer, NFL Security, Hyatt Security, management, etc., nor was I escorted off of the premises by anyone."
"If I had been asked to leave, I would have done so without fail and without any disturbance or pushback," Williams said in the documents.
