Do you love Marshmallow Fluff? Help throw a party for it

SOMERVILLE, Mass. — If you’ve ever wanted to put your love for fluffernutter sandwiches to work, now’s your chance.

The Marshmallow Fluff festival in Somerville is looking for an assistant coordinator, via a post on internships.com.

They’re looking for someone to help organize the festival, working with day-to-day logistics, production of promotional and information materials, and, probably, Marshmallow Fluff.

An assistant coordinator will be working with social media, press releases and calendar listing for the event, which is set to take place in September.

Marshmallow Fluff, a key ingredient in the locally famous fluffernutter sandwich, has been a staple of the Boston community since the early 1900s and traces its roots to two Swampscott men cooking up confections in their kitchen and selling them door-to-door.

It was invented by a Somerville man named Archibald Query in 1917 and has been celebrated at the Fluff Festival since 2006.
