Man arrested in connection to deadly shooting in Haverhill

HAVERHILL, Mass. — Police in Massachusetts are investigating the death of a man who was shot to death in Haverhill. A suspect has been arrested in connection to the deadly shooting.

Sean LaRose, 34, was arrested Thursday night in Amesbury. LaRose is accused of shooting and killing 34-year-old Joseph Smith.

Smith was found around 4:45 p.m. Thursday suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, the suspect fled the scene in a stolen car.

LaRose is due in court Friday. He faces charges of murder and larceny of a motor vehicle.
