Dad walks daughter down the aisle after illness

(MyFoxBoston.com) - He had just beaten leukemia - but that didn't stop a dad in Maine from walking his baby girl down the aisle.

Ralph Dunquette had been in a coma for days while fighting leukemia. He beat it, but the cancer has left him blind in one day and wheelchair bound.

Thanks to physical therapy and the power of love, Dunquette was able to hoist himself up and walk his daughter, Heather, down the aisle on her wedding day. Heather and wedding attendants were surprised when Dunquette got out of the chair.

He wasn't steady on his feet, but he successfully gave his daughter away.
