Commuter Rail trains delayed due to 'slippery rail'

BOSTON — Several Commuter Rail trains were delayed Monday morning due to 'slippery rail' conditions, according to Keolis.

When leaves fall on the tracks and become wet, the trains have to slow down due to the rail conditions.

Keolis said crews monitor the rail conditions daily and use power washing trains to clear leaves off the rails.

The company says safety is the top priority and can sometimes lead to delays.
