BOSTON — Weekend discounts on the Commuter Rail are now over, but the MBTA says they could make a return.
T officials held a meeting Monday on the $10 weekend pass. Officials say about 180,000 passes were sold since June.
During that time period, weekend Commuter Rail revenue went up five percent.
Federal law requires the T to study whether the price change was fair to low-income and minority riders before they can consider reinstating the program.
That could take a month or longer to complete.
