BOSTON — Some Citizens Bank customers woke up Friday without their paychecks in their bank accounts.
Due to a vendor processing, there was a delay with the direct deposit system. It’s unclear how many customers were affected, but several customers tweeted at the bank asking where their money is.
After hearing about the issue, FOX25 called the customer service line and received an automated message saying it was dealing with a high volume of calls and was then transferred to another line that was busy.
FOX25 also reached out to the bank and received a statement that said, “Due to a vendor processing issue (affecting) multiple financial institution, customers are seeing a delay in transactions posting to their accounts. We appreciate the patience of our customers as we work with our vendor to resolve this issue.”
A timeline on when the issue would be fixed as not been released.
2/2: This issue is affecting multiple financial institutions. We appreciate the patience of our customers as we work to resolve this issue.
