LINCOLN, R.I. — A Cape Cod woman who allegedly left her baby inside her parked car while she was at Rhode Island casino is now facing charges of neglect and cruelty.

WPRI reports Lincoln police responded to the parking lot of Twin River Casino for reports of a child left alone in a vehicle that was running. Police say they found a 3-month-old girl wrapped in a blanket.

The baby's mother, Halston A. Borglund, 26, told police she ran into the casino to get keys, but security footage showed Borglund inside for nearly 90 minutes, WPRI reported.

The baby was transported to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence and was reported to be in fair condition. Borglund was taken for a medical evaluation and will be charged with cruelty or neglect of a child, according to police.
