BRAINTREE, Mass. — Braintree Police are warning residents of an influx of scam phone calls.
Police posted Monday that they are getting slammed with phony IRS calls.
"You know it's bad when our office lines are getting them threatening the Braintree Popo is going to come after the Braintree Popo," the department's Facebook post read.
Police want to remind residents:
- They don't accept payment in via Walmart or Rite Aid.
- They don't call Braintree Police directly and say go arrest *your name here*

If you get a call like this, be sure not to give out any of your information, hang up and call police.
