BOSTON — Boston Police are responding to reports of a person shot at 530 Warren Street in Roxbury, the department confirmed to Boston 25 News. The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
The victim, who officials described as an approximately 20-year-old male, sustained life-threatening injuries in the shooting. He was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Sky25 flew over the large scene where a No. 28 MBTA bus could be seen stopped in the middle of the street.
An MBTA bus is part of the scene - although passengers tell me no one on board was injured. Many were unaware of shooting. They were all told they had to get off & were questioned. Bus must remain here until scene is clear. pic.twitter.com/8L4RGtPeqQ

The shooting occurred at a bus stop in the neighborhood. While the MBTA bus was a part of the crime scene, officials say the shooting did not occur on the bus.
"A bus full of people witnessed this brazen daytime shooting," said Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins.
The crime scene remains very active as police are canvassing the scene looking for witnesses. A trauma response team is also on scene.
